Recycled Wood Balance Beam

The foundation of this nearly 2-metre project was an old, discarded wooden coat rack from a landfill. I removed everything unnecessary until only a clean wooden pole remained. From new spruce wood, I carved minimalist brackets that hold the beam firmly and stably low to the ground.

I treated the entire structure with natural coconut oil. The result is a functional balance beam – a line you can walk to train concentration and find your centre.
